Oh XANADUUUU! This Saturday!

Yes, it was bound to happen. You give Perth a league of gorgeous rollergirls, and you introduce them to local madman Tomás Ford and chanteuses Brash & Sassy...you were always going to end up with a XANADU ROLLERDISCO!

This Saturday night, 4 July, 9:30-11:30PM at Morley Rollerdrome, put away your stars and stripes and indulge instead in your chiffon and taffeta!

Bands play live on the rink floor and DJs spin hits (and misses) of the alternative 70s and 80s. Plus there'll be a showtime game of full speed, full contact Blood & Thunder from your very own Perth Roller Derby darlings.

Come out and celebrate the bygone era of the rollerskating Hollywood blockbuster for just $10 including skate hire (add $2 for blades.) Tickets available at the door.

This is a 15+, alcohol- and drug-free event. Morley Rollerdrome is located at 95 Catherine St, Morley.

Drop by for a colourful selection of stubby holders, bottle opener keyrings, 1-inch and 2.5-inch button badges, stickers and personal mirrors - all featuring artwork by the gorgeous and talented Zombie Dimples.

Punk Rock Rollerdisco THIS SATURDAY!

Brush off your leather jacket, find your Sex Pistols shirt and raid your mother’s sewing box for safety pins, because Perth Roller Derby is hosting a punk-themed rollerdisco THIS WEEKEND.

Featuring live bands Injured Ninja and The F.A.I.M! Project, the chaos goes down Saturday 6 June, 9:30-11:30PM at Morley Rollerdrome, 95 Catherine Street, Morley.

Come out for a social skate, meet your local rollergirls and help raise money for PRD’s 2009 bouting season!

The show kicks off at 9.30PM, tickets are $10 on the door including skate hire (blade hire $2 extra.)

This is a 15+, drug and alcohol-free event. PRD reminds beloved patrons that drugs, alcohol and little wheels don’t mix.

No Open Night in May, but PUNK NIGHT in June!

Due to things outside our control, our training session on Monday 25 May - scheduled to be open for spectators - is cancelled. Heartbreaking for you, we know, but we shall be back in force for the last Monday of every month starting 29 June, so no tears please!

Plus, to tide you over and feed your rollergirl addiction, PRD is throwing a PUNK PARTY on Saturday 6 June, 9:30-11:30PM at Morley Rollerdrome. Live local bands Injured Ninja and The F.A.I.M! Project plus DJs bring you tunes you will never again hear at a skating rink, so roll fast, die pretty, and do NOT miss this for the world! (Tickets $10 at the door, 15+ alcohol free event.)

PRD Presents...80s Night!

Your local rollergirls, the lovely ladies of Perth Roller Derby, invite you to the very first of our monthly themed nights at the Morley Rollerdrome!

Things kick off on Saturday 2 May, 9:30-11:30PM. Expect DJs, bands and other entertainment as we resurrect and reimagine the time-honoured tradition of the rollerdisco.

So come along on the first Saturday in May, dress in your best (or worst) 80s costumes and enjoy the unparalleled decor and candy bar treats direct from your childhood, whilst having a social skate with your Derby darlings!

Tickets available at the door for $10. (This is a 15+, alcohol-free event.)

Beautiful wanna-be derby dolls and demons: good news this way comes! PRD is now open to ladies 18+ who are experienced quad rollerskaters with a passion to learn and play roller derby!

The other news is that our gold coin donation public training session spectacular is back! On the last Monday of every month - starting 25/5, 8-9:30PM at Morley Rollerdrome, come out and watch your daring derby dames work up a sweat. Expect skills, spills, scrimmaging, flexibility and fishnets!

...to be an on-skates referee or off-skates official for Perth Roller Derby.

You've gotta be 18+ and passionate about derby, that's all we ask! Oh, and ability to skate or willingness to learn for refs.

Masquerade Brawl SOLD OUT!

Thanks, spanks and congratulations to everyone who went quick-smart to tickets sellers and got themselves sorted early, as we officially SOLD OUT last Saturday, only a couple of weeks after tix were released! Hope you're all gearing up for a fantastic night.

If you missed out this time, well, now you know that Derby means BUSINESS here in Perth, so wise up ;) Don't dismay though, as there are more events and parties where this one came from... Stay tuned.

Perth's derby little secret is being unmasked...the Masquerade Brawl is coming!

Sunday 25 January, 7-10pm, Morley Rollerdrome. FEATURING the gals and guys of Perth Roller Derby, Sugar Blue Burlesque, live band Metafour with rollergirl Foxy von Fistburger on vox, and more! (Alcohol and drug free, age limit 15+.)
