Congratulations to the West Coast Evils

The travel team for Perth Roller Derby, The West Coast Evils, made it to the quarter finals at the Great Southern Slam in Radelaide!

The level of experience and expertise found in other leagues cannot be underplayed and we should all be very proud of our players that have put us up into the top 8 teams in the country.

Congrats!! Derby bubs have arrived!

2 new additions to the derby family recently - Kellateral Damage and hubby welcome their first child, a little boy, to their home this week; and Laure'N Orda and hubby welcome their second, a little girl Scarlet Jean, to the brood.

I also forgot to mention that Turkish DEEfight is pregnant with baby #4! Congrats Dee & family!!

Derby love goes out

In the last few weeks there have been a few major tragedies in the derby community - 2-Ton Taylor from SRDL died in a tragic accident after being hit by a bus post-bout. Wed ngt Bo Skiddley from PRD broke her collar bone at training after a fall and won't be on the track with us for GSS. Today we hear that Becky Bloodnut from Ballarat Roller Derby has died due to blood clots from an broken ankle a few weeks ago in a bout. And Thu ngt one of our Freshies - Avril, aka Calamity Jam - broke her leg at training.
PRD sends out all the derby love they can muster to everyone affected by these tragic losses

Successful Fresh Meat ;)

We've had a great first few weeks of Fresh Meat, and it is fantastic to see so many newbies with awesome skills out on the rink with us!
We can't wait for you guys to join us in normal training and hope that you get heaps out of the Thursday night sessions! :)

End of Season 2009!

Well the Bloody Sundaes showed they weren't so easy to beat second time around, closing the gap by half to just 20pts this time.
Final score: Mistresses of Mayhem 103 def the Bloody Sundaes 83.

2010 Season:
Dates are being confirmed for next year's season and will kick off in May 2010.

We're also actively recruiting for new league members, so do you fancy yourself as a potential derby girl or stripey loving Zebra (ref)? Come to our info session on Sunday Dec 13 @ 6.30pm, 715 Beaufort St, Mt Lawley and we'll give you more details about how and when.
